Weijia Jiang is an American television journalist and reporter in Washington, DC. She is the Senior White House Correspondent for CBS News since 2018. Jiang has also served since 2026 as the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association. Jiang worked as a reporter for Salisbury, Maryland’s WBOC-TV from 2006 to 2008. She was employed at Baltimore’s WJZ-TV from 2008 till 2012. From 2012 until 2015, Jiang worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at WCBS-TV in New York City, where she covered the Boston Marathon bombings, the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacres, and Hurricane Sandy.
At the 34th News & Documentary Emmy Awards in 2013, Jiang’s spot news coverage of the Newtown Tragedy earned WBZ-TV, Boston, a regional Emmy.[18] In 2014, Jiang served as the Gala Dinner MC for the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Gala Dinner, which included letters of support from Bill de Blasio, Andrew Cuomo, and Barack Obama. Jiang relocated to Washington, D.C., in 2015 to work as a correspondent for CBS News’s round-the-clock news gathering service, Newspath.
