Ed Harding Biography / Wiki

Ed Harding is an American journalist, co-anchor of NewsCenter 5 at 4:00, 6:00, 7:00 and 11:00 PM, as well as co-host of WCVB’s weekly political roundtable program “On the Record” (Sun., 11 AM). Ed has been a member of NewsCenter 5 for almost forty years and is an award-winning local journalist. Among the many honors he has received are two first-place Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Sound Bites awards for On-Air Personality and four Boston/New England Emmy awards for best Anchor-News. In 1988, Ed became a reporter and weekend sports anchor at WCVB. In 2000, he joined the EyeOpener newscast as co-anchor, and in 2004, he was added to the 11 PM newscast. When WCVB introduced those newscasts to its schedule in January 2016, he assisted in the launch of NewsCenter 5 at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. (more…)
