Scott Pelley is an American broadcast journalist and author for CBS News. She is a former correspondent for CBS News’ 60 Minutes. He was employed by KSEL-TV in Lubbock from 1975 to 1978. He was employed by KXAS-TV in Dallas from 1978 to 1981. He worked as a producer and reporter for WFAA-TV in Dallas from 1982 to 1989.

In 1989, Pelley began working for CBS in New York City. He later returned to Dallas to work for the CBS bureau, covering national issues. Pelley traveled with the XVIII Airborne Corps during its assault on Iraq and Kuwait and reported from Baghdad during the 1990–1991 Gulf War. In addition to covering the 1993 World Trade Center attack, the Waco siege, and the Oklahoma City bombing, he was tasked with covering the presidential campaigns of Ross Perot and Bill Clinton in 1992.

From 1997 to 1999, Pelley was the Chief White House Correspondent for CBS News. The US House of Representatives impeached President Clinton during that period. Pelley revealed that Monica Lewinsky had joined the Office of Independent Counsel’s investigation as a cooperating witness while covering the president’s probe.
