Major Elliott Garrett is an American journalist working as the chief Washington correspondent for CBS News and the host of The Takeout on CBS News 24/7. Previously, he was a correspondent for National Journal. Before joining National Journal, he was the senior White House correspondent for Fox News. Garrett was the Network’s chief White House correspondent from 2012 to 2018. Garrett covered a wide range of topics while covering the White House for CBS News, including the president’s efforts to combat ISIS, Ebola, nuclear talks with Iran, and U.S.-European efforts to challenge Russia in the Ukraine crisis. Garrett was a mainstay of CBS News’ coverage of Campaign 2012 through a collaboration with the National Journal, where he served as top White House correspondent before joining CBS News. Evans’ footage of the police firefight with suspected murderer and former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner in February 2013 garnered national attention. Adriana Diaz is an American television journalist for CBS News, currently working as the co-host of CBS Saturday Morning and co-anchor of CBS News 24/7 Mornings. Diaz was employed by the youth-focused news outlet Channel One News. She worked at Goldman Sachs as a financial analyst as well. Speaking Mandarin, Diaz served as CBS News’s Asia reporter in Beijing from 2016 to 2017. After returning to the US, she joined CBS News as a national correspondent stationed in Chicago.
