Mario Solis is an American NBC4 award-winning weekend sports anchor and weekday sports reporter. His reports can be seen on the 4, 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts. Solis has been a sports broadcaster for more than 20 years. He has covered almost every major sporting event, including several World Series and Super Bowl games, the Olympic Games, and the World Cup. Apart from his responsibilities as a sports anchor and reporter at NBC4, Solis is also known for his work as a play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Rams on ESPN Radio 1330 AM and the Los Angeles Chargers on KFWB-AM 980, as well as the Spanish-language announcer for HBO’s renowned “World Championship Boxing” series.
