David Snyder Biography / Wiki

David Snyder is an American journalist, working as an evening anchor and managing editor for WCJB TV. He writes and reads as co-anchor of WCJB’s 5:00, 6, and 11 pm newscasts. He joined WCJB in 2004.

He has covered issues and events both domestically and internationally during the course of a broad broadcast career spanning thirty years, multiple states, and an excessive amount of fast food. He has prayed with Moses (well, Charlton Heston, who played Moses), chased aliens in Roswell, New Mexico, stayed with Kosovar refugees in Albania, leaped off an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf (and out of several H.R. offices), and now he has the honor of sharing the tale of North Central Florida every day.

His recollections of covering Congress on September 11th include being evacuated from his Capitol Building office and hearing the loud explosion at the Pentagon. Later, he stood watch on the roof of a five-story townhome across from the Supreme Court building. The next day, he saw personally the inspiring and defiant sight of politicians from both parties coming together to sing “God Bless America” on the Capitol’s front steps.
