Paula Newton is an American journalist, working as an international correspondent with CNN and CNN International based in Ottawa, covering stories in Canada since 2007. Newton is a former reporter for Canadian network CTV from 1993 to 2005. She previously worked as CNN’s international security correspondent at the network’s London bureau, where she oversaw CNN’s coverage of international terrorism, including the application of counterterrorism measures, community tensions, immigration, and the effects these issues have on people’s day-to-day lives.
