In 2008, she started working as a journalist for Seven Queensland, covering stories from the Townsville newsroom. She began working as a court reporter in Seven’s Brisbane newsroom in 2010. She presented the weather during the 2011 floods, which led to a full-time position as the weekend weather presenter. She continued her studies in climatology at the University of Southern Queensland in addition to her career.
