Jason Matheson is an American journalist who is the host of The Jason Show for FOX 9 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Matheson started working on television at WCCO-TV. paying “his dues” by working the weekend nighttime shift as an overnight dispatcher. Matheson relocated to KMSP-TV, FOX 9, in the spring of 2000 to work as executive producer of “The Buzz,” a popular daily entertainment program. A few months after joining FOX 9, he was put in front of the camera as a film reviewer for the station’s recently formed morning program, “Good Day Minnesota.” Ewan McGregor, Cher, Will Smith, Arthur Miller, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson are just a few of the luminaries Jason has interviewed while working at FOX 9.
