Iman Shumpert is an American NBA Analyst. He joined ESPN in 2025 and appears across several programs, including Hoop Streams, NBA Today and SportsCenter. After three seasons at Georgia Tech, Shumpert was selected in the 2011 NBA Draft. The New York Knicks selected him with the 17th overall pick. He started his professional career in New York, where in 2012 he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. He represented the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and Brooklyn Nets, among other NBA teams, during his career. In 2016, Shumpert and the Cleveland Cavaliers won an NBA title. After his last season with the Brooklyn Nets, he ended his NBA career in 2021.
Shumpert was named a McDonald’s All-American while playing high school basketball at Oak Park and River Forest High School in Illinois before joining the NBA. At Georgia Tech, where he was one of the team’s main contributors and led the Yellow Jackets in scoring, rebounds, and assists during the 2010–11 campaign, he continued to grow.
