Elexander Michaelson is an American television journalist and news anchor for CNN, currently working as a co-anchor for KTTV’s evening newscasts, as well as the host and producer of The Issue Is, the station’s weekly political talk show.
After meeting the executive producer by showing up without warning and waiting for a face-to-face encounter, Michaelson started his journalism career as an intern at KTTV. Before working as a weeknight reporter for XETV in San Diego and as a fill-in news anchor for KABC in Los Angeles from 2010 to 2017, he had held internships in Washington, D.C., and New York City. In 2017, he rejoined KTTV and joined Araksya Karapetyan on Fox 11 Morning News.
