Fredricka Whitfield is an American journalist, news anchor and reporter who currently anchors the weekend edition of CNN Newsroom from CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta, and she is also a fill-in and substitute anchor for CNN’s At This Hour With Kate Bolduan. After graduation, Whitfield held positions at KTVT-TV in Fort Worth, WTNH in New Haven, Connecticut, WCIV in Charleston, South Carolina, WPLG-TV in Miami, and NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C. She then joined NBC News as a correspondent, working for NBC Nightly News in Atlanta from 1995 to 2001.
