Mark Ferguson is an Australian journalist, anchor, reporter news presenter, who currently presents Seven News in Sydney on weeknights. He joined Seven Channel in 1987 as a reporter in the Brisbane newsroom. Previously, he served as a senior news presenter with Nine News Sydney, presenting the weeknight news bulletin.
He joined Nine News in Sydney in 1992 and was transferred to the network’s London bureau in 1994 where he covered major stories including the horrific Rwanda massacres, the Palestinian intifada, the funeral of assassinated Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the 50th anniversary of D-Day, the ongoing troubles in Northern Ireland and the death of Princess Diana.
He started his career in his hometown of Tamworth in northwest New South Wales, where he scored a job as a cadet journalist at local television station NEN-9 in 1984.
