Larry Madowo is a CNN International Correspondent and host of the African Voices Changemakers and Playmakers series. He was previously a North America Correspondent for the BBC and also anchored breaking news and presented BBC World News America from Washington, DC. After a year and a half of his degree, Madowo left college to work for Kenya Television Network (KTN), one of the continent’s oldest private television networks. After three years of becoming well-known in Kenya, he quit KTN to work as a business anchor and reporter for NTV. He became one of the primary anchors of the market day shows Open Exchange, Power Lunch, and Closing Bell at the South African-based CNBC Africa in May 2012. After just eight months at CNBC Africa, he returned to NTV in December 2012 as news anchor and technology editor.
