Jeff Cole is an American journalist, anchor, and reporter working as an Investigative, and General Assignment Reporter for Fox 29 News team at WTXF-TV, in Philadelphia. He joined the station in March 2000.
He is a two-time winner of the Weiss Award for Investigative Reporting, as well as the recipient of a series of Edward R. Murrow Awards and Associated Press Awards. Before joining FOX 29, he was fill-in at CBS affiliate WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut. Jef started his career there in 1984 as a morning news anchor. After two years of anchoring, he did investigative reporting for more than a decade.
He won four New England Emmy Awards for his investigative reporting. He twice won the prestigious Theodore Driscoll Award, named for the Hartford Courant’s long-time investigative reporter. Jeff is the only broadcast reporter to ever win this award. Additionally, Jeff served for Maryland Public Television as a political reporter. He also started his political reporting career for Capital Broadcast News in Washington, D.C. as an assignment editor, producer, and reporter.
