Hallie Jackson is an American reporter and network anchor working as the senior Washington correspondent for NBC News, an anchor for NBC News Now, and the anchor of the Sunday edition of NBC Nightly News. Before leaving for WFSB in Hartford and New Haven, Connecticut, in 2008, Jackson began her journalism career with WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland, and Dover, Delaware in 2006. In 2012, her career took her to Hearst Corporation, where she worked from Washington, D.C. as a reporter for their 26 stations. Jackson started working as a journalist and reporter for NBC News in 2014. As an embedded reporter for the network, she covered Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign.

Jackson started hosting MSNBC Live, NBC News’ daytime coverage channel, at 1 p.m. ET in the summer of 2016. Jackson was designated NBC’s chief White House correspondent in January 2017.
