Brianna Keilar is an American journalist, anchor and reporter currently working as a co-anchor of the afternoon edition of CNN News Central. Previously, she served as a political correspondent, Congressional correspondent, a White House correspondent and general assignment correspondent for CNN in Washington. She joined CNN in November 2006.

Keilar left CBS to join CNN as a CNN Newsource correspondent, reporting from the nation’s capital and covering breaking news for almost 800 CNN Newsource partner stations. She covered a variety of events as a general assignment journalist for the network, including the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, when she was the first CNN correspondent to arrive on the scene.
